Extraction
Luxamul® 100% naturally derived & COSMOS Approved. It is based on Soapberry saponins which are extracted using only water to give a concentrated emulsifier with excellent stabilising properties. It is a cold process emulsifier / thickener that can be used to create luxurious textures.

Qualities
Luxamul® can be used hot or cold. If liquid oils are used, the entire formulation can be a cold mix, all in one method. It is recommended to wet Luxamul® using glycerine or oil before water is added to prevent lumps. If using butters or waxes, melt these in the oil phase before adding to the water phase.
USE LEVELS / GUIDELINES FOR USE
Stable between pH 3 and 11 and up to 3% electrolytes.
Compatible with all types of oil, glycols and up to 10% Ethanol.
1 part of Luxamul® can emulsify up to 10 parts of oil
Light serum / milky fluid ~ 1- 1.5%
Structured lotion / light cream-gel ~ 2%
Night or day cream, hand cream ~ 2.5 - 3%
