Delivery Information
Delivery Charges: For most U.K. mainland destinations (excluding Highlands & Islands and some remote postcodes), we offer free Economy delivery on orders over £ 250-00 before VAT. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday from 08.00 am to 06.00 pm, excluding Public Holidays.
We despatch goods to UK and Overseas customers by Courier only. The Charges are calculated by gross weight (goods and packaging) per individual parcel of maximum 20 kilos in weight or maximum box size of 45cm x 30cm x 30cm for U.K. and 20 Kilos in weight or maximum box size of 45cm x 30cm x 30cm for rest of the world.
Standard U.K. Orders are usually despatched within 5 working days after receipt of funds (not from point of receipt of order), depending on volume of orders received, and by working days we mean Monday to Friday. Obviously we will always try to ship as soon as we physically can. Please monitor the tracking number we email you online to get most up to date delivery status. It is the customers responsibility to have someone on the premises at point of delivery to receive the goods.
Only one delivery attempt is guaranteed, but courier might make further attempts before returning the parcel(s) to us. A signature is required on delivery. If you are happy for the parcel to be left in a safe location or with a neighbour, please instruct us at point of order.
Orders may be collected in person, by choosing the 'Self Collect' option in the shipping section. We will email you once the order is ready. This is not a 'click and collect' service. Normal order processing times will still apply.
Overseas shipments might take slightly longer to process due to additional documentation needed. Please be aware there may be customs clearance charges and local taxes to pay on arrival in the destination country, so do please check with your local Customs office before placing your order. In the EU, some countries may have additional protective tariffs or restrictions, so it is important you check this before ordering.
The Soapmakers Store are not responsible for any delays at Border control / Customs as these are out of our control.
Lead time is calculated from the time your payment clears our payment portal, and not the time you place your order. There will be occasions when the card company or PayPal might not transfer the funds straight away.
Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, and some remote U.K. postcodes which will attract a surcharge include IV, HS, KA, BT, KW,ZE,PA,PH,IM, TR, ZE, AND GY.
Following charges apply in Sterling Pounds for European deliveries per 20 Kilos Gross weight or maximum Parcel dimensions of 45 x 30 x 30cm:-

Customers ordering from Switzerland and Norway will have their orders sent by Airfreight. As a result Liquids must be packed in maximum 1 Litre quantities, or multiples thereof. That means if you want to order 5 Litres of a liquid product, you must order 5 x 1L, 10 Litres order 10 x 1L and so on. This applies to Liquids only.
During busy periods, there will be occasions where it is physically impossible to ship all of the Express orders on day of receipt, so they will leave the next available working day on a 24 hour service. Express Orders will still be prioritised over standard deliveries.

When your order has been shipped, you will receive an email from the courier notifying you of the despatch date along with the consignment number allowing you to track the parcel(s) online. If you have not received your UK destination parcel within 48 hours of despatch, please email us.
UK customers may also receive text / email updates providing you have given us your Cellphone / Mobile phone number at point of order. We deliver the products you order to the address you specify for delivery. It is important that this address is accurate and that someone is on the premises 08.00 am to 6.00 pm to receive the goods. Courier does not normally leave a card any more.
It is a condition that all orders despatched by courier will require a signature on delivery. Should you advise us to leave your parcels(s) without a signature, we will not be liable for any loss or damages. If our courier can not find your address, we cannot be held responsible for late delivery or returns.
We encourage you to list a Cellphone / Mobile number in case the driver needs to contact you for directions. We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the products once they have been delivered and signed for. Claims for non delivery of goods by courier must be made in writing to us within 7 days from despatch date.
Our Courier will not entertain any claims after this date has passed. Should your order cost more to despatch than the price listed on the order, we will advise you accordingly. Occasionally there may be a volumetric surcharge for large volumes of lightweight products.
In the event where you fail to take delivery, and no longer want the goods after they have been returned, you are liable for the 2 way carriage fees plus a minimum re-booking fee of £ 10-00 or 15% of the nett value of the order.
